Find out what your clientele are striving for in the New Year, and how you can better support them. The easiest way to do this? Create a free survey either on your website using a form plugin, or with a service like Survey Monkey. Or, just email and ask! Once you’ve gotten some responses, brainstorm and write ideas on the post-it notes. Pick one, enter date on the calendar and implement it.

Create a marketing plan for the year. How will you let more of the world know how awesome you are, and how much better their lives would be with your business supporting them? Take the tried-and-true marketing strategies, add some fresh ideas, and set dates to make it all happen! Look ahead in the calendar and fill out post-it notes for the first quarter, or more. This calendar was created for busy, service-based small business owners like you. As a small business owner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to make time for marketing. Without a plan, our efforts are often wasted. Using two simple, focused tasks 1 to 2 hours per month, your marketing plan can be developed and executed with ease.

Planning makes things easier. When you think it through, record it and refer to it, your PLAN will help you get your message out consistently and without much effort. So you are able to do more of what you love about your business – serving your clientele!
How To Use The Simple Marketing Calendar
Every month you’ll see a ‘theme’ under the month name and three sections under the heading. The first two sections are simple, focused tasks for you to complete – total time investment should be 1 – 2 hours per month. The third section is a bonus tip from me. Check off the boxes in the sections once each task is complete.
The first section is “For my clientele” – this section includes a suggestion for connecting with your clientele to provide added value and/or to stay top-of-mind. They are often low- or no- cost actions to perform for your best clientele, or all of them if you’re so inclined.
The second section is “For my business” – this section outlines a simple, focused action for your business marketing activities. The goal of this task is to improve your online presence and it will often involve acquiring new knowledge.
The “Tips and support” section summarizes the tips and support to expect in monthly emails. The timely emails will always provide the necessary background – or point you in the right direction – to complete the first two tasks.
